Anatomy of an engineered lift.
“Engineered rigging systems” is not a bigger machine. It is a better plan, executed by the people who wrote it.
- The numbers, verified. Weight, center of gravity, rigging points, floor loading, headroom and travel path — measured, not assumed. A lift that starts from a nameplate guess is a lift that gets renegotiated mid-air.
- The lift, planned. Pick points, rigging gear, load path and contingencies worked out before anything is scheduled. On complex picks the plan is documented and walked with your team before the crew mobilizes.
- The equipment, matched. Pick-and-carry machines, hydraulic gantries, jacks, skates, spreader beams — whatever the plan calls for, on our trucks, run by NCCCO certified operators.
- The execution. One signal caller, a walked route, a crew that has done this thousands of times — and a machine set on its anchors ready for the millwright work that follows, by the same crew.

Industrial rigging, explained.
What is industrial rigging, exactly?
The discipline of lifting and moving loads that are too heavy, too awkward or too valuable for standard material handling: calculating weights and centers of gravity, choosing pick points and gear, planning the load path, and executing the lift with certified operators. On a plant floor it is the difference between a machine arriving at its anchors and a machine arriving at a repair shop.
What is the heaviest load you can rig?
Engineered rigging systems handle loads over 400,000 lb — gantries, jacks and skates matched to the load, with the lift planned around measured numbers. Single machines up to 118,000 lb move by pick-and-carry. The two are different tools for different jobs, and quoting yours starts with its weight.
What does rigging cost?

Do you use cranes?

Can you lift where a crane can’t reach — inside a plant, under low steel?
That is most of our work. Pick-and-carry machines, hydraulic gantries, jacks and skates do their jobs indoors, under existing steel, in aisles a mobile crane will never see. Tight-headroom and in-plant lifts are the specialty, not the exception.
Who is on the crew?
Riggers and millwrights on Accuwright’s own payroll — NCCCO certified operators, drug-free workplace, crews that self-perform the core work. The people planning the lift are the people executing it.
Can the same crew set and level the machine after the lift?
Yes — that is the point of hiring riggers who are also millwrights. Setting, anchoring, leveling, alignment and reconnection happen under the same contract, so there is no handoff between the lift and the startup. Never missed a startup in 25 years.
Are you insured and prequalified for plant work?
EMR 0.72 on the NCCI interstate rating with zero actual incurred losses, zero OSHA recordables in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, Avetta and ISNetworld registered, NCCCO and NCCER certified, drug-free workplace. Certificates of insurance and full documentation are available on request.
